Management Accountant

Location: West Midlands

Salary: 45000-55000

Contract Type: Permanent / Full Time

Management Accountant | Stoke | Up to £55,000

This is a genuinely varied Management Accountant role within a global business behind a portfolio of well recognised brands. The finance function here plays a central role in driving profitability, and this position sits right at the heart of that, managing a small team and owning the numbers that shape decision making across the business.

You’ll be responsible for producing accurate, timely management information that the wider business relies on, from monthly management accounts and KPI reporting to sales analysis and margin reviews. It’s a role with real breadth, covering everything from royalty obligations and fixed asset management to intercompany transactions and balance sheet reconciliations, alongside close collaboration with budget holders across departments.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, KPI reports and sales analysis for senior stakeholders
  • Managing a small finance team and supporting their development
  • Overseeing fixed assets, account reconciliations and VAT compliance
  • Reviewing retail accounts and margin performance
  • Managing royalty calculations and intercompany processing
  • Preparing prepayment and accrual schedules, and supporting statutory accounts information for audit
  • Reconciling and closing AR and AP, including FX adjustments
  • Partnering with departmental budget holders on cost centre reviews

What we’re looking for:

  • CIMA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience with significant relevant background
  • Proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including revenue recognition, reconciliations and reporting
  • Experience managing or supporting a small team
  • Confident communicator, comfortable partnering with non-finance stakeholders

On offer:

  • Salary up to £55,000
  • Genuine career development opportunities, including access to apprenticeships and structured progression
  • Health care cash plan and life insurance
  • Strong pension scheme with access to pension clinics
  • Enhanced annual leave and a genuinely people focused culture
